When you travel around the country, in places like deserted jungle road stretches in between towns and villages you can encounter wild Asian elephants, hundreds of Buffalo’s and herds of deer and other smaller animals crossing the road or eyeing you from inside the jungle like a watchdog.

The history of this country dates back to more than 2500 years of advanced agricultural civilization. As a result if you travel around the country you can see hundreds of ancient ruins, large agro-water storage reservoirs built by ancient kings and Buddhist temples that date back to before Jesus times.
